There are a million objects
around us. Things we take for granted; things we notice; things that
escape our eyes sometimes. To me, ANYTHING can be a great subject
to capture; it really depends on how you see it. It may be a vine
creeping across a weather-ridden wall, insects swarming out of a nest
or a lonely old man sitting on the street. I see every object as a
subject for my camera; I add in different amounts of ‘Element
X’ to concoct an essence that once taken will evoke different
degrees of reactions. This is my motivation to see life in a different
perspective.

The World In
Macro
Details exist to be observed by the most careful eye. Seeing the
world in minute lets one appreciate the smaller things in life.
Life is quite simple, really.

Keppel Club
I was given a special column to photograph in Golf Vacations magazine.
This was one of the most challenging shoots ever, as I had to find
photojournalistic aspects in a golf course to create a photo essay
that related to the significance of Keppel Club. To view gallery,

Below is the poem I wrote for this photo essay...
The vivid silence
Of a dragonfly listening
To ripples nearby
A delicate face
Reflects the radiance of day
And romance of night
The lush green grass
Comforts and caresses
The adventurous soul
A golfer poised
A swing of faith looking on
Her shot to touch home
By the forgotten mangroves
A boat lies quietly in wait
For its journey to take
The sloping road
Winding amongst the old fir trees
Beckoning in the sunset

MacRitchie Reservoir
Back to nature, I spent a beautiful day at MacRitchie. It was lovely
to immerse freely in the natural environment; to be able to hear,
see, smell and feel nature, is truly a blessing.

Night Market
I was walking home one day and suddenly realised how beautiful
the lights of the 'pasar malam' (our very own night market) and
the fun fair were. I rushed home to grab my camera and as I was
happily shooting away, there was a blackout all around Singapore!
I love this particular series.

Chinatown
Chinatown has always been a place rich in Chinese culture,
colours and ambience. I explored the place and found some interesting
nooks.
